People always tell us that is better to move forward, so that’s what we usually do, following a crowd of people running towards something they don’t even know. “Moving backward” consists in stopping for a minute and look behind us. It pretends to show that even though we can’t pause our daily life routine, we must give ourselves some time to remember where we came from.
Is about going anywhere but never forgetting our roots, our people, our traditions, those little details that really define who we are. In my country, a lot of people lives from handmade crafts. Including these ancient technics into contemporary design helps not only to preserve the knowledge these people have but to make others value handmade work, giving artisans the opportunity to show their art and been fair paid for it.
